The U.S. men’s national team is in a pretty dire situation as they play Uruguay in their final group match of the Copa America on Monday night. After a disappointing loss to Panama in their previous match, they now desperately need to find a way to leave with a win to have a shot at the next round.
However, there could be much more at stake for the American team.
Christian Polanco and Alexis Guerreros discuss whether USMNT head coach Gregg Berhalter’s job is on the line if the United States is eliminated from the tournament, how they got into this situation and hope they aren’t responsible for Tim Weah’s red card in their last match.
Also in this episode of The Cooligansthe lads analyse the England national team’s performance in their late win over Slovakia to keep their Euro hopes alive, Gareth Southgate’s problem with not fully utilising his bench and give a sharp defence of captain Harry Kane’s performance. Christian and Alexis also discuss Mexico’s Copa America knockout and whether the Belgium squad are simply getting too old to compete after their loss to France.
