EVERETT – A woman was caught on camera dumping handfuls of rocks into the windshield wiper hole of two cars at Hancock Park in Everett.
“I was angry. I was really angry. This is a person doing this with two vehicles. She’s probably going to continue this behavior. You don’t just stop this,” said Jim Reilly, the friend of one of the victims.
In the video, a woman can be seen picking up a handful of rocks from nearby gardens and dumping them on the cars. “I couldn’t believe it,” Reilly said. “She did it for a minute.”
Reilly says his girlfriend usually parks in front of a building on Hancock Park. The people living at that address also had their cars damaged by the same stone dump.
‘You can do a lot of damage’
“We don’t know anyone in that neighborhood who would be upset if her car was in front of the house,” Reilly said. “You could get dents. You could chip the paint. You could get the rocks in the engine compartment bouncing around. You could put on the wipers and scratch the windshield, you could do a lot of damage. They were rocks !”
His girlfriend’s son is a mechanic. He had to carefully open the hood and remove the stones to avoid damaging the vehicle. Reilly and his girlfriend alerted Everett police and showed them the video; however, no charges were filed as no insurance claim was filed.
