Violent two-car crash leaves three hospitalized in North Hollywood

Three people were taken to hospital after a violent two-car crash in North Hollywood early Sunday evening.

According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the accident happened around 6:30 p.m. at the intersection of Oxnard Street and Fair Avenue.

They arrived to find one of the passengers trapped in their car. Firefighters quickly removed the person from the vehicle, a four-door sedan, before taking him to a hospital.

According to the LAFD, two of the patients were in critical condition, while the third was in serious condition.

None have been identified yet.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.

SkyCal flew over the scene of the collision, where two heavily damaged vehicles could be seen dozens of yards apart. Several police patrol cars and fire trucks could be seen as crews worked to deal with the incident.
