A reminder to undecided voters about former President Donald Trump’s personal policies:
• Never admit you are wrong. Remember the 2019 Hurricane Dorian forecasting fiasco? Trump falsely tweeted that Alabama would likely be hit by the storm, despite what government weather scientists had predicted. For the next five days, the commander-in-chief was obsessed with defending his tweet, even showing a hurricane forecast map with a suspicious Sharpie adjustment.
• Tell a lie often enough, and people will believe it. The 2020 election was close, but Trump clearly lost. Despite approximately 60 lawsuits that failed to support Trump’s victory, Trump still says he won four years later, without any evidence to support his claims. He is persistent, but he is wrong.
• “A fool and his money are soon parted.” Trump University was labeled a fraud because it was little more than a sales pitch to purchase more expensive seminar packages. Trump was forced to pay $25 million to students he defrauded. Trump Bibles are listed for $60 versus $20 at a Christian bookstore. Trump sneakers for $400, watches for up to $100,000 and non-fungible trading cards are just some of the “treasures” Trump is selling. He only cares about his followers’ money. And their voices.
Someone with these values should not be the leader of our country. Trump’s real goals for another term are revenge on anyone who disagrees with him, being head of state with all the trappings that entails, always being the center of attention, avoiding incarceration, and milking the presidency for everything he can get.
