Wadena woman dies in two-vehicle crash in Cass County, Minnesota

Oct. 27—BRAINERD — A 31-year-old Wadena woman died Friday, Oct. 25, in a two-vehicle collision on Highway 210 in Cass County.

The Minnesota State Patrol responded to the crash at Milepost 114 in Sylvan Township, west of Baxter, at 10:58 a.m.

Amber Marie Cloutier, driving a Chevy Monte Carlo, was leaving Seacryville Road Southwest eastbound onto Highway 210 when her vehicle was struck by a Hyundai Elantra driven by Leesa Jean Peacock, 56, Motley. Both vehicles came to rest in the south ditch of Highway 210, across from Searcyville Road Southwest.

Cloutier, who was not wearing a seat belt, died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash, the State Patrol reported.

Peacock suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Essentia Health-St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Brainerd.

The Cass County Sheriff’s Office, Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office and North Ambulance assisted at the scene.
