A Walgreens security guard in San Francisco was stabbed Friday during a confrontation with someone who tried to steal merchandise, police said Saturday.
The stabbing happened around 9:30 p.m. at the Walgreens at 300 Montgomery Street.
Police said officers arrived on scene and found an employee suffering from a stab wound. The victim was taken to hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
According to police, the employee was stabbed when they approached a man who was trying to steal goods.
The robber fled. Police say no one has been arrested yet.
