Want to See 4th of July Fireworks in South Florida? Here’s Where to Go

The flag, the barbecue, and the fireworks. It just isn’t the 4th of July without all three! American flags and hot dogs are easy enough to find, but where do you go to see the fireworks?

Here is a list of fireworks shows on the 4th of July in Miami-Dade, Broward, and the Florida Keys. All shows are on Thursday, July 4th and are free unless otherwise noted.

Miami-Dade County

Adventure

What: Fireworks Celebration on Independence Day

When: 9 o’clock in the evening

Where: Located along Country Club Drive is the Turnberry Golf Course, behind the Aventura Mall on Northeast 195th Street, just off Biscayne Boulevard.

Park on the Bay

What: The 4th of July celebration at Bayfront Park includes a hot dog eating contest, fireworks, and live music performances by the US Navy Brass Band, Aymée Nuviola, The Latin Divos, and others.

When: 4:00-9:00 PM

Where: Bayfront Park, 301 N. Biscayne Blvd., Miami

Brownsville

What: The 20th annual Fourth of July Family Fest features free food for kids and seniors (on a first-come, first-served basis), as well as a DJ and fireworks.

When: 4:00-9:00 PM

Where: Charles Hadley Park, 1350 NW 50th St., Miami

Coconut forest

What: This Fourth of July celebration features a performance by the Miami Symphony Orchestra and a fireworks show.

When: The show starts at 7:30 PM

Where: Peacock Park, 2820 McFarlane Rd., Miami

Coral gables

What: The July 4 fireworks celebration in Coral Gables and at the Biltmore Hotel will feature performances by the Navy Band Southeast and the Greater Miami Symphonic Band.

When: The event opens at 5:00 p.m. The Greater Miami Symphonic Band concert begins at 7:00 p.m. and the closing fireworks show begins at 9:00 p.m.

Where: The Biltmore Hotel, 1200 Anastasia Ave., Coral Gables

Hialeah

What: The city of Hialeah is hosting a 4th of July celebration featuring drinks, food trucks, fireworks and live music performances by El Chulo, DJ Yus and Orlando Mendez.

When: 4:00-10:00 PM

Where: Milander Park, 4700 Palm Ave., Hialeah

Farm

What: The “Race to the Fourth” celebration includes games, rides, food, live music and fireworks.

When: 6:00-10:00 PM

Where: Homestead-Miami Speedway, 1 Ralph Sanchez Blvd., Homestead

Key Biscayne

What: The 46th annual Key Biscayne Fourth of July parade will feature floats, bands and even a fighter jet flyover. The festivities will conclude with fireworks on the beach.

When: The parade starts at 11am and the fireworks are expected to begin between 8:45pm and 9:15pm.

Where: The parade moves down Crandon Boulevard, from Harbor Drive to West Enid Drive.

Miami Gardens

What: The Miami Gardens Fourth of July Food Trucks and Firework Celebration also features a DJ, bounce houses, and a raffle.

When: The event opens at 5pm and the fireworks start at 9pm.

Where: Betty T. Ferguson Recreation Complex, 3000 NW 199 St., Miami Gardens

Miami lakes

What: Miami Lakes’ 4th of July celebration features live music and food trucks, and concludes with a fireworks show.

When: The event starts at 6:30pm and the fireworks begin at 9:00pm.

Where: Veterans Park, 15151 NW 82nd Ave., Miami Lakes

Miami Springs

What: The 4th of July celebration in Miami Springs includes a pool party, parade, and fireworks.

When: The parade starts at 10am, the pool party runs from noon to 5pm, and the fireworks begin at sunset.

Where: The parade will proceed east on Westward Drive before turning south on Curtiss Parkway. The pool party will be held at the Miami Springs Aquatic Center, 1401 Westward Dr, Miami Springs. The fireworks display will be at the Miami Springs Golf Course, 650 Curtiss Pkwy., Miami Springs.

Miami River

What: The community celebration of Free Independence Day, hosted by District 3 Commissioner Joe Carollo, includes food, games and fireworks.

When: The event starts at 4pm and the fireworks begin at 9:15pm.

Where: Jose Marti Park, 351 SW Fourth Ave., Miami

North Beach

What: Miami Beach is kicking off its Fire on the Fourth celebration with food trucks, an obstacle course, and even a rock climbing wall. The event will also feature musical performances and will conclude with a drone and fireworks show.

When: Activities start at 3pm, live music starts at 5pm and fireworks begin at 9pm.

Where: Altos Del Mar Park, 241 77th St., Miami Beach

Palmetto Bay

What: Palmetto Bay’s Independence Day celebration includes food, fireworks and live music, including a performance by the Cutler Stew Band.

When: 5:00-9:00 PM

Where: Palmetto Bay Community Center, 9705 E. Hibiscus St., Palmetto Bay

South Beach

What: The annual Independence Day fireworks and patriotic concert will feature the Miami Beach Classical Music Festival Orchestra. Sign up to receive email updates about the event.

When: 4:00-8:30 PM

Where: Lummus Park, 1144 Ocean Dr., Miami Beach

At the surf

What: The 4th of July celebration in Surfside will feature swim meets, a live band, a DJ and drone show, and fireworks. The event is free for Surfside residents and $5 for non-residents

When: The festivities start at 9am and last until 9pm.

Where: Surfside Community Center, 9301 Collins Ave., Surfside

Westchester

What: The July 4 celebration in Tropical Park also marks the start of National Parks and Recreation Month.

When: 4:00-10:00 PM

Where: Tropical Park, 7900 SW Bird Rd., Miami

Broward County

Fort Lauderdale

What: Fort Lauderdale’s Independence Day is celebrated with water slides, fireworks and a performance by the R&B group En Vogue.

When: From 12:00 to 21:15

Where: Las Olas Oceanside Park, 3000 E. Las Olas Blvd., Fort Lauderdale

Hollywood

What: The Star Spangled Spectacular on July 4 in Hollywood includes a DJ, live music and a fireworks show.

When: 18:00-22:00. Fireworks start at 21:00.

Where: Hollywood Beach and Boardwalk, A1A Between Dania Beach Blvd. and Hallandale Beach, Hollywood

prospect

What: In honor of Independence Day, Miramar will feature food trucks, a kids’ zone, and fireworks!

When: The gates open at 4:30pm and the fireworks start at 8:30pm.

Where: Miramar Regional Park, 16801 Miramar Pkwy., Miramar

Pompano Beach

What: During the fireworks spectacle on July 4, DJ Mike Cooley will be our guest and there will be live music from Pan Paradise.

When: The event starts at 5pm and the fireworks begin at 9pm.

Where: Fisher Family Pier, 222 N Pompano Beach Blvd., Pompano Beach

sunrise

What: Sunrise’s 4th of July celebration includes an ’80s freestyle concert featuring DJ Johnny Drama and a fireworks show.

When: 6:00-10:00 PM The fireworks start at 9:30 PM

Where: Outside Amerant Bank Arena, 1 Panther Pkwy., Sunrise

The Florida Keys

Key Largo

What: Key Largo’s Fourth of July Parade and fireworks promise food, drinks and a “special Kidz Zone.”

When: The parade starts at 11:00 a.m. The event begins at 5:00 p.m., with fireworks scheduled for 9:15 p.m.

Where: The parade begins outside Anthony’s Ladies Apparel, 98200 Overseas Hwy, Key Largo, and ends at Laguna Drive. The fireworks display takes place at Rowell’s Waterfront Park, 104550 Overseas Hwy, Key Largo.

Key West

What: Rotary Club Key West 4th of July Celebration.

When: 5:00-10:00 PM

Where: Edward B. Knight Pier, 1899 White St., Key West

Islamorada

What: Islamorada promises “family fun, food and fireworks,” including a “patriotic people and puppy parade.” Admission is free with a $10 “donation” for parking.

When: 6:00-10:00 PM. Fireworks start at sunset.

Where: Founders Park, 87000 Overseas Hwy., Islamorada

Marathon

What: Marathon’s 4th of July event features a parade and fireworks.

When: The parade starts at 11am and the fireworks are expected to begin around 9pm.

Where: Sombrero Beach, 200 36th St. Oceanside, Marathon
