Teams around the world are preparing for the Olympic Games in Paris. For 24 of those teams, the next two weeks mean Olympic qualifying tournaments, where they will try to secure one of the four remaining spots in the Olympic tournament (Greece with Giannis Antetokounmpo looks good, Slovenia with Luka Doncic needs a few big games to keep their hopes alive).
France is already in as host nation — and the roster is loaded with a front line of Victor Wembanyama and Rudy Gobert, plus top NBA and European talent around them. France took on Turkey in an exhibition game on Wednesday — France won 96-46, and Wembanyama put on a show.
Although this pass was perhaps Wembanyama’s most impressive move of the day.
The size and mobility of Wembanyama and Gobert’s front line pose a problem for everyone in Paris.
Perhaps the highlight of the day was the prank the rest of the team pulled on Wembanyama before the match started.
