Since then, southbound I-471 has remained closed over the bridge.

While roads and sidewalks have reopened, the parking lot under the “Big Mac Bridge” remains closed for safety reasons to keep the area safe, ODOT told WCPO.
“There is very, very serious damage to this structure,” said Kathleen Fuller, spokesperson for ODOT.
She also says completing up-close inspections is a big step.
“This now allows us to move forward with that design and what that will look like for the rebuild,” Fuller said.
ODOT has no answer to that.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
