NEW YORK — U.S. News & World Report released its 2024 college rankings Tuesday, and some schools in the Tri-State Area are among the best in the world.
This year’s report evaluated more than 2,250 colleges and universities in more than 100 countries.
What are the best colleges in New York?
The top 10 colleges in New York State according to US News & World Report are as follows:
- Columbia University in New York City
- Cornell University in Ithaca
- New York University in New York City
- University of Rochester at Rochester
- Stony Brook University – SUNY at Stony Brook
- Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy
- Syracuse University in Syracuse
- Binghamton University – SUNY at Binghamton
- University at Buffalo – SUNY at Buffalo
- Fordham University in New York City
Columbia University also ranked ninth on the Best Global Universities list, and Cornell University tied for 19th with the University of Michigan.
