What do you want to know?

I’m about to put Maserati’s two latest droptop offerings – the GranCabrio Trofeo and the GranCabrio Folgore electric convertible – to the test here in northern Italy. Both cars approach high-speed droptop grand touring in very different ways, despite their similar looks, but we’ll get to that in a moment. Anyway, before I ride these two excellently proportioned Italian machines, I want to know what you want to know about them.

Which questions about the GranCabrio Trofeo and Folgore EV keep you awake at night? What things should I look out for about these two cars when driving them around Da Boot? Hit the comments below and let me know!

I guess we need to go over some basic stuff for both cars, just to get that out of the way. First up we have the GranCabrio Trofeo. I actually just drove this car’s little brother, the GranTurismo Trofeo, and it was quite nice and very fast. A full video review will follow soon. The Trofeo is powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter Nettuno V6 that pumps 542 hp and 479 Nm of torque to all four wheels through an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission. That’s good enough to allow the car to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.4 seconds and reach a top speed of 190 mph, all while wrapping you in rich-smelling Chrysler leather and buttons. The coupe was quite a nice car, and I suspect the convertible will only enhance the experience of the loud-sounding V6.

The GranCabrio Fologore, on the other hand, is a completely different beast. Sure, it looks like the combustion engine car, but it gives up its V6 for three electric motors, one in the front and two in the back. Like all EVs, it gets off the track super fast thanks to the 818 hp (with overboost) and 996 lb-ft of torque that the three motors create. Power is stored in a 92.5 kWh battery, of which 83 kWh is usable, and its 800V architecture allows for fast DC charging. If you’re brave enough to put your foot in it, it can also reach a top speed of 186 mph.

Either way, both cars will certainly be a pleasure to drive, but before I head out, I want to know what you want to know about them. Drop below and share your thoughts and questions!
