According to a Wednesday morning update from the National Weather Service, scattered snow is expected in the Louisville area on Wednesday, with higher chances in the afternoon and early evening.
“Very thin accumulations” are possible this morning, and drivers should be careful of slippery spots on roads, especially bridges and overpasses. There is a greater chance of ‘impact snow’ later in the day, with scattered snow showers expected to occur.

A 30% chance of rain showers, mainly after 3 p.m., could mix with snow after 5 p.m., according to the NWS seven-day forecast. The cloudy sky gradually becomes sunny, with a maximum temperature of almost 40 km/h. Westerly winds are forecast between 11 and 18 km/h with gusts up to 33 km/h.
There is a 10% chance of snow showers before 7pm on Wednesday evening with a minimum temperature around 23. Westerly winds are expected at 13 to 21 km/h with gusts up to 33 km/h.
Thursday
Sunny, with a high near 38. West wind between 3 and 11 km/h. Thursday night will be partly cloudy with a low temperature of around 28 degrees and a light wind.
