Thursday is already the 4th of July. Are you planning to celebrate Independence Day? Read below what is open and closed on this holiday.

Locally, town halls, libraries, swimming pools and most other non-emergency services and facilities will be closed. Fire and rescue stations will be open and both firefighters and police will be on duty.

All federal offices, including courthouses, as well as state offices and banks, will be closed.

The United States Postal Service and UPS will not be picking up or delivering mail, but UPS Express Critical service will be available. FedEx office locations will be open with adjusted hours.

In Los Angeles and most surrounding areas, trash collection will be delayed one day in honor of the holiday.

Transport

LA Metro is operating, but schedules may vary due to the holiday.

Stores

Most grocery stores and retail stores, with the exception of Costco, will be open on July 4 with limited hours in observance of the holiday.
