What’s open for Thanksgiving 2024 in Jackson? See which restaurants open on Thursday

Looking for something different than the traditional American home-cooked meal this year? Restaurants are typically closed on Thanksgiving, but there are several in the area that welcome guests during the holiday.

Most of the places open on Thanksgiving in the Jackson area are chain restaurants, but there are also some local favorites in the mix.

Read on to discover some restaurants in the Jackson area that are open on Turkey Day.

From Applebee’s

All Applebee’s locations, including Brandon, Clinton, Flowood, Madison and Ridgeland, will be open on Thanksgiving with limited hours from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Thing how

Ding How in Ridgeland is open during regular hours from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and serves Asian cuisine including sesame chicken, lo mein, egg rolls and more.

Denny’s

Denny’s locations are open 365 days a year, including Thanksgiving. The Ridgeland and Pearl locations are open 24 hours a day as usual.

Georgia Blue will be offering their traditional Southern cuisine on Thanksgiving this year.

Both the Flowood location and the Madison location are open from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Hilton Jackson

Wellington’s Buffet at the Hilton Jackson on County Line Road will host a Thanksgiving buffet complete with soups, stews, mashed potatoes, cornbread stuffing, cranberry sauce, assorted pies and a charcuterie station with turkey, ham and beef.

Adult seats cost $45 each, children 12 and under cost $20 and children under 5 are admitted free.

The buffet is open from 11am and is on a first come, first served basis.

Chef Cain and the staff at the Old Capitol Inn are already preparing for two Thanksgiving Day sittings, one at 11 a.m. and the second at 12:30 p.m.

The Old Capitol Inn in downtown Jackson is hosting a Thanksgiving celebration with seating at 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

Diners can expect holiday classics including roasted turkey, cornbread stuffing, green casserole, sweet potato casserole, pecan pie and more.

The party is only possible by reservation. Adult seats cost $45 each and $18 each for children ages six to 12.

Scrooge’s Restaurant and Pub on Ridgewood Road will be open normal hours on Thanksgiving Day from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

The grill serves a Thanksgiving meal. Reservations are required for groups of more than six people, otherwise it is first come, first served.
