Oct. 31 – BEMIDJI – Voting season is here as the general election approaches on Tuesday, November 5.
For Bemidji area voters, the ballot includes options for mayor, Ward 3 and Ward 5 seats on the Bemidji City Council, all five districts on the Beltrami County Board of Commissioners and six candidates running for three seats on the Bemidji school board. as well as regional races for House 2A and 2B, Congressional District 8 and the state race for U.S. Senator.

Early in-person absentee voting is available Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., through Nov. 4, at the Beltrami County Administration Building in the Auditor-Treasurer’s Office, 701 Minnesota Ave. NW, with additional voting hours starting at 9 a.m. on Saturdays and Sundays until 3 p.m.
On election day, polling stations are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Voters who are in line before 8 p.m. are still allowed to cast their ballots, even if they have not reached the front by closing time.

The polling places in the city of Bemidji are determined by place of residence:
* Ward 1, the American Indian Resource Center at 1630 Birchmont Drive NE.
* Ward 2, the Bemidji National Guard Armory at 1430 23rd St. NW.
* Ward 3, the Boys and Girls Club at 1600 Minnesota Ave. NW.
* Ward 4, City Hall at 317 Fourth St. NW.
* Ward 5, Northwest Technical College, common room at 905 Grant Ave. S.E.
