Ohio Edison reports that fewer than 20 customers in Clark County are without power.
AES Ohio provided an update on social media Sunday evening. They said crews worked tirelessly to restore service as quickly as possible.
“We continue to make steady progress with the help of our team members, including 137 line crews, 50 tree crews and the support of 55 out-of-state crews,” they said. “To date, more than 93% of affected customers have recovered and we aim to reach 95% by Tuesday evening. We have retained all internal crews and contractors, but securing additional support has been a challenge as many in the Southeastern U.S. have been mobilized to address the hurricane’s impacts in Florida, Georgia and the Carolinas.”
AES Ohio spokesperson Mary Ann Kable said News center 7 Saturday morning that the biggest challenge facing crews is the amount of trees and branches that have fallen on power lines.
She said AES Ohio crews and contractors are working non-stop to restore power.
