Where are the top-ranked elementary schools in the Charlotte region?

Niche.com now comes out with its annual series of rankings that aim to provide a well-rounded overview of the best school districts and schools in the US for 2025.

CBJas it has done in previous years, the rankings divide into four categories: public elementary schools, public middle schools, public high schools and private elementary schools.

To compile the rankings, Niche.com collects statistics from the U.S. Department of Education and reviews from parents and students. It includes data for more than 11,000 school districts, 93,000 public schools and 30,000 private schools.

For public elementary schools, Niche.com analyzes state test scores, student-teacher ratios, student diversity, teacher quality, elementary school ratings and overall school district quality. The list includes magnet and charter schools.

Gold Hill Elementary School in Tega Cay ranks at the top in the Charlotte metro area, as well as in the entire state of South Carolina, according to Niche.com’s rankings. In fact, the top ten public elementary schools in South Carolina are all located in the Fort Mill School District.

In North Carolina, the highest-ranked school is Southeastern Academy, a charter school in Lumberton.
