After Lyles’ triumph, prior to the 200m race on August 8, his girlfriend said, Junelle Bromfieldtook to her social media to honor him and his achievement. “The double lives,” she wrote, hinting that Lyles could make history if he wins the 200m final.
Bromfield, an Olympic athlete for Team Jamaica, has been linked to Lyles for years. The pair met on social media in 2017, looking for a romantic relationship. According to Lyles, nothing came of their first date. It wasn’t until five years later that the pair gave their romance another try, and it stuck.

“I started therapy about two years ago because my boyfriend really liked therapy and felt I needed it,” she said The inner lane. “It’s been really helpful because I was dealing with survivor’s guilt, which was weighing on me. Now I feel like I can live my life to the fullest and enjoy every moment because life is short.”
