On today’s episode, Dan Wetzel, Ross Dellenger and SI’s Pat Forde share their thoughts on the future of the SEC after a very eventful offseason. After the spring meetings, they discuss the noticeable shift in atmosphere among coaches and administrators now that Oklahoma and Texas have joined the conference.
They also unravel the glaring question of who will be the next big head coach to dominate the SEC after Nick Saban retired in January. Delleneger shares his favorite names to watch out for, specifically Steve Sarkisian in Texas, Kirby Smart in Georgia and Josh Heupel in Tennessee.
After the break, they responded to recent news about upcoming legislation in North Carolina that would require UNC and NC State to play smaller programs in the state annually. Wetzel shares the possibility for UNC and NC State to propose that the state give them more money to agree to this.
To close the show, Wetzel tells a story about a woman in Nebraska who was still alive after being taken to a funeral home. They laugh at her resurrection fueled by the Nebraska football program.
