The Minnesota Wild recently sent one of their best players to the American Hockey League (AHL) in late October.

In four games with the Iowa Wild, Liam Ohgren has scored four goals. He scored a goal in his second game of the year and recently scored three in a game.

Ohgren, 20, scored zero points, eight shots and was a minus-2 in seven NHL games this year. He scored three goals in his fourth AHL game of the year on November 9.

It’s important that the former 2022 first-round pick gets to play games and the AHL offers Ohgren the opportunity to play top-six minutes and special teams.

So far he’s getting that opportunity and he’s producing.
