A wildfire is burning Sunday on Blue Mountain near the Lehigh Gap in Northampton County, Pennsylvania, officials said.
The fire has destroyed 150 acres so far, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Conversation and Natural Resources.
The Lehigh Township Volunteer Fire Company posted on Facebook that crews were dispatched to Timberline Road around 10:30 a.m. to respond to the fire on Sunday.
Hours later, fire officials said crews plan to light a fireline to burn the active fire, creating a safe barrier around homes in the area. According to the fire department, crews will be in the area from the 4500 block of Timberline Road to the 4900 block of Timberline Road during the fire. A power outage in homes in the area is possible, but unlikely, the fire brigade said.
Crews also battled the fire on Saturday, but were pulled off the mountain due to safety concerns.
