There was no doubt that the New York Liberty would make the WNBA playoffs this season after leading the league for much of the season. The team finished in first place and will now face the No. 8 Atlanta Dream on Sunday for the first game of the postseason. The Dream secured a spot in the playoffs on Thursday night when they defeated the Liberty 78-67. The Liberty will host the Dream at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on Sunday, September 22, with tipoff set for 1:00 p.m. ET on ESPN. The game can also be streamed after the game ends on WNBA League Pass.

There are eight confirmed teams for the 2024 WBNA Playoffs, namely:
