A 19-year-old woman was shot Saturday evening in the Loop after a Christmas light show that drew hundreds of people to downtown.
Shortly before 9 p.m., police responded to the 100 block of West Washington Street, where the woman was shot in the leg after an unknown man opened fire as she walked with a group on the sidewalk.
First responders took her to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where she was listed in fair condition. No one had been arrested as of Sunday morning and detectives are continuing to investigate, police said.
The holiday festivities in the Mag Mile, including a festival of lights, parade and fireworks, had ended just north of the river.
