Woman arrested in connection with toy theft in Brighton

A woman has been arrested in connection with theft at a Toy Drive in Brighton.

According to police, on Monday, December 16, officers responded to a report of a theft that occurred between 6:15 and 6:30 PM on Sunday, December 15 at the Corrib Pub, located at 396 Market Street in Brighton.

The theft occurred during the Allston-Brighton Toy Drive, where the suspect was observed going through customers’ personal belongings before stealing a bag.

Officers arrested Ji Li, 44, of Boston, around 1:00 PM on Friday, December 20, following a recent theft resulting from a construction incident.

Detectives saw Li walking along Massachusetts Avenue toward St. Botolph Street in the South End.

At the time of her arrest, Li was wanted for theft from a building and attempting to commit a crime.

She is expected to be arraigned at Brighton District Court.
