A woman is dead and a man is injured after a shooting in Huntington Park Monday night.
Huntington Park Police received a call about shots fired near the 3900 block of East 60th Street at 9:40 p.m. When officers arrived, they found a woman in a truck suffering from at least one gunshot wound. She was later pronounced dead at the scene.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said while deputies were investigating the area, they found a trail of blood leading away from the scene. Around the same time, the East Los Angeles Sheriff’s Office received a call about a man with a gunshot wound in the town of Maywood.
Officers determined the blood trail from the Huntington Park crime scene came from the Maywood man.
The LACSD said the man ran to a liquor store a few blocks away from the shooting. He was transported to hospital in stable condition.
The relationship between the man and the woman is unknown. Police are continuing to investigate the cause of the shooting and may identify a suspect.
