BOSTON – A woman was injured in a shooting at Boston’s Seaport on Thursday and police are still searching for the shooter.
It happened just before noon near the corner of Pier 4 Boulevard and Northern Avenue.
Boston police said a woman was rushed to the hospital with what they called “non-life-threatening gunshot injuries.”
They are looking for a man, but had no description of him yet.
Witnesses told WBZ-TV there was a graduation party nearby and they saw a woman get out of a car while holding her stomach. People rushed in to help her, and the police arrived.
Witnesses said they saw someone in a cap and gown running away.
Boston Police Chief Michael Cox is expected to provide an update on the search soon.
