Woman treated at Fort Worth Buc-ee’s for gunshot wound sustained on highway: police

Police and MedStar responded late Friday to the Buc-ee Travel Center in far north Fort Worth in reference to a woman shot at another location, officials said.

The 45-year-old was driving on the highway, apparently in Denton County, when she was shot, according to police. She ended up at the Buc-ee’s along Interstate 35W at 15901 North Freeway.

MedStar spokesperson Heath Stone said they responded to the call around 10:45 p.m. The victim’s injuries were minor and she is expected to survive.

No further information about the shooting was immediately available.
