A woman was arrested Tuesday for an attempted kidnapping at a Koreatown playground, and it is the same suspect who tried to kidnap a four-year-old child from a Target store in February, Los Angeles police said.

The Westlake Target incident of February 26 happened around 12:40 p.m. when a woman walked up behind the child and “forcibly grabbed” the child without consent and carried him outside the store.

After a confrontation with the parents, the woman put the child down and ran from the area on foot.

Police described her as an approximately 40-year-old woman who is approximately 6 feet tall and weighs approximately 150 pounds.

The latest incident occurred when police responded to a call of a kidnapping suspect at a Koreatown playground in the 3200 block of San Marino Street around 5:15 p.m. Tuesday.

According to the LAPD, the woman grabbed children who were playing in the playground at Seoul International Park when parents intervened and called police. The woman was taken into custody and arrested for kidnapping.
