May 30 – Charleston – The West Virginia Department of Education has announced the 2024 recipients of the Albert Yanni Scholarship.
Thirty technical education students each received $2,000 to support their further education and/or training related to their career aspirations in the coming year.
“These exemplary students are to be commended for achieving this important distinction,” said State Superintendent Michele L. Blatt. “Their study and work ethic have served them well in opening doors of opportunity.”
Recipients of scholarships in the region include: — Gavin McGraw of the Academy of Careers and Technology of Raleigh County. — Isabella McPeak at Mercer County Technical Education Center. – Joshua Cortines of Oak Hill High School in Fayette County.
