As residents wait for Hurricane Milton to approach Florida, the storm will impact solid waste collections.

Brevard County

Waste Management will suspend all collection services on Wednesday, October 9 and Thursday, October 10 in Brevard County.

Flagler County

WastePro pickup has been canceled for unincorporated Flagler County on Wednesday and Thursday.

“At this time we expect that regular collection will resume on Friday and that we will reopen the offices,” said district administrator Heidi Petito. “We will post updates as soon as possible.”

Bunnell

The City of Bunnell said depending on weather conditions and road safety, yard waste collection could begin as early as Friday, October 11.

Garden waste and storm waste must be kept separate. Residents should not place the poles near obstacles such as mailboxes, power lines or utility poles.

Bulk waste collection for Friday October 11 has been cancelled.

Lake County

Leesburg

There will be no changes to solid waste collection services on Wednesday, October 9.

City officials said solid waste and yard waste collections have been canceled on Thursday, October 10.

Customers who normally need to be picked up on Thursday will be picked up on Monday, October 14.

Normal rubbish and garden waste should resume on October 11, but this may be affected by storm damage.

Tavares

Solid waste collection in Tavares has been suspended for Thursday and Friday.

Regular household waste is collected and recycled on Mondays and Tuesdays.

If you have yard waste, you can take it to the Lake County Landfill at 13130 ​​County Landfill Rd, Tavares, FL 32778.

Marion County

Waste Management is suspending all collection services in Marion County on Wednesday, October 9 and Thursday, October 10.

Orange Province

Orange Province

Orange County Utilities will suspend all trash collection services on Wednesday, October 9 and Thursday, October 10.

Waste collection will resume on Friday, October 11 and Saturday, October 12, but only household waste in the green-lidded carts will be collected.

Regular pickup services will resume on Monday, October 14.

Ocoee

On October 8, collection of residential and commercial waste, bulk items and yard waste in Ocoee will continue as normal.

The city will provide more updates as the storm approaches.

Winter Park

Winter Park officials said there will be no trash collection on Wednesday, Oct. 9.

Waste Pro will begin collecting yard waste and properly packaged debris on Saturday, October 12.

Osceola County

Osceola County, the City of Kissimmee and the City of St. Cloud have canceled all trash collections on Wednesday, October 9 and Thursday, October 10.

Seminole County

Sanford

There will be no solid waste, recycling and garden waste collections on Wednesday 9 and Thursday 10 October.

Government officials said normal activities will resume based on the weather.

Residents should store their yard waste safely or take it to the Seminole County Landfill at 1930 E. Osceola Rd., Geneva.

Tip fees are waived at the landfill.

Oviedo

Household waste, recycling and garden waste collections will resume on Friday 10 October.

Collections intended for Thursday will be collected on Friday and Friday collections will be moved to Saturday.

Sumter County

Waste Management is suspending all collection services in Sumter County on Wednesday, October 9 and Thursday, October 10.

Volusia County

Waste Management will suspend commercial and roll-off services in Volusia County on Thursday, October 10.
