Youth charged in bomb threat in Forest Hills

SIDMAN, Pa. – Adams Township police have filed multiple charges against a juvenile following an alleged bomb threat at Forest Hills High School last week.

The district reported receipt of the alarming message on Thursday and launched an investigation involving local authorities and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Adams Township Supervisor Kirk Moss said the alleged threat was made via social media but was determined to be unfounded.

“There was no threat to the students or faculty,” he said. “We were on it pretty quickly.”

The youth, whose name is not being released, now faces terroristic threats, disorderly conduct and causing or risking a catastrophe.

District officials said Thursday that the alleged threat was reported at the end of school that day.

Once notified, established security protocols were initiated, resulting in a search of the building and law enforcement investigating several leads and identifying potential suspects related to the threat, Forest Hills said.
