Zelenksy condemns record number of Russian drone strikes

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has condemned a record number of drone attacks on his country by Russia.

“Last night Russia launched a record 145 Shaheds and other attack drones against Ukraine,” Zelensky wrote on X on Sunday, referring to Iranian-made kamikaze drones.

Russia has attacked Ukraine in the past week with more than 800 guided aerial bombs, about 600 attack drones and almost 20 missiles of various types, Zelensky said.

“Such terror cannot be stopped with words, and the killing of children and the loss of loved ones cannot simply be forgotten.

‘Security against terror is impossible without bold decisions – this is clear for every country.

“Without justice there is no lasting peace, and it is very realistic for Ukraine to achieve it,” the Ukrainian president wrote.

Russia has been bombing Ukraine regularly since launching a full-scale invasion of its neighbor in February 2022.
