Zelensky says Ukraine was hit by 900 bombs in one week

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenksy has called on foreign allies for more air defense help after another week of what he said were more than 900 bombings.

“Last night Russia terrorized Ukraine with more than 50 attack drones, and in the past week it has deployed more than 900 bombs, about 30 missiles and almost 500 ‘Shaheds’ against various regions of Ukraine,” he said, adding that most of them targeted ” civil and critical infrastructure.”

“All these attacks would have been impossible if we had had sufficient support from the world in crucial areas: long-range capabilities for our security, really effective sanctions to prevent Russia from importing crucial components for the production of drones and missiles – especially microelectronics – and political decisions that could ruin Russia’s will to fight this war,” Zelensky said.

“Ukraine deserves the same strong security as all our partners in the free world,” he posted on X, along with a video of extensive destruction in several parts of the country.
