One person has died and three were taken to the hospital after a violent multi-vehicle crash in South Los Angeles on Wednesday morning.
Los Angeles Police said a crash involving three vehicles occurred around 1:53 a.m. at 250 W 53rd Street.

One person was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash involved eight people, the LAPD said.
One of the people had to be extricated from a vehicle and was in critical condition.
The LAPD is still investigating the cause of the crash.
