A 25-year-old woman was struck and killed in a hit-and-run crash late Sunday evening in Bellflower.
According to the California Highway Patrol, it happened near Downey Avenue and the 91 Freeway around 11 p.m.
They say the woman, who has since been identified by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner as Loren Carroll, was changing a tire and facing the highway when she was struck.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators were unable to provide a description of the suspect or a call involved in the collision.
