Christmas is just under two weeks away and while you’re busy shopping and decorating, you may be wondering if Binghamton has a shot at a white Christmas this year.
The weather in Binghamton has been quite variable lately, with snow and freezing temperatures one day and the low 50s the next. So what kind of weather can you expect on Christmas Day 2024?
Although the National Weather Service in Binghamton doesn’t have a definitive weather forecast for more than a week, the office has made some predictions about the weather over the next few weeks.
Will Binghamton see snow for Christmas?
If you dream of a white Christmas, you might be out of luck this year.
NWS Binghamton meteorologist Adam Gill explained that the chance of snow on December 25 is not high. The overall weather pattern for the next two weeks, he said, “favors warmer than average conditions,” reducing the chance of snow.
Still, Gill said, because it’s still two weeks away, the NWS can’t completely rule out the possibility of snow.
