That’s the reality for approximately 20,000 young adults across the country who will age out of the foster care system each year.
In Florida, about 750 young adults will be part of that statistic, and the odds are against them.

Only one in two young adults who emancipate from the foster care system will be gainfully employed by age 24, and less than 3% of all who age out will ever earn a college degree.
