Arm and torso are believed to be those of a slain Milwaukee teen found along Lake Michigan

More human remains were discovered Thursday and are believed to be those of a 19-year-old Wisconsin woman who was dismembered and killed after going on a date with the suspect, police said.

A person found a torso and an arm on a remote stretch of tree-lined Lake Michigan beach shortly after 7:30 a.m., the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement. The remains, believed to have washed up, were found about a quarter-mile from an apartment complex, the sheriff’s office said.

Maxwell Anderson, 33, of Milwaukee, is charged with first-degree intentional homicide, mutilation of a corpse and arson in the killing of Sade Robinson, also of Milwaukee. The two had a date on April 1, the sheriff’s office said in a criminal complaint filed last week.

Since the day after the date, body parts have been found in several locations.

A severed right leg was found April 2 near a 100-foot waterfront cliff in Warnimont Park in Cudahy. It has been tentatively identified as Robinson’s, the complaint said.

Unidentified remains were discovered in a part of Milwaukee on April 5, 6 and 7, city police said.

A human foot found next to train tracks on April 6 turned out to be that of the same person as the right leg, the complaint said.

All remains found in Milwaukee are believed to be those of Robinson, but that has not yet been formally confirmed, the sheriff’s office said.

Anderson, who was arrested during a traffic stop on April 4, remained in the Milwaukee County Jail Thursday in lieu of $5 million bail, jail and court records show. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Monday.

The investigation into Robinson’s death is ongoing. The sheriff’s office has contracted and scheduled a sonar detection boat to further search Lake Michigan for her remains, officials said.
