Patrick Bailey was removed from the game Friday during the second inning of the Giants’ game against the Philadelphia Phillies at Citizens Bank Park due to blurred vision and is being evaluated.

Bailey’s injury appeared to stem from being hit by a foul ball off the bat of Phillies third baseman Alec Bohm in the bottom of the first inning.

The 24-year-old catcher was replaced by veteran Tom Murphy when leaving Friday’s game.
Bailey walked and eventually scored in his only at-bat of the night before being removed from the game.
