BOSTON — Tortured No More — Swifties are soaking up every last line of Taylor’s new album. The theme may be heartbreak, but Boston businesses are feeling the love.

“When they see T. Swift doing something – a t-shirt, a pretzel, a beer, a drink – anything; they want to come out for it!” said Harpoon Brewery manager Lili Olson.

At Harpoon Brewery, covers of Taylor Swift were on the mic and ‘So Long London’s’ on the menu, for fans who were anything but lukewarm.

“Taylor Swift is actually my favorite human I’ve never met. I would probably die for her,” one woman said.

“I was very blessed to have the opportunity to go to her show. And it was the best night of my life,” another fan added.

There is work to be done for the fans

The overnight release of the double album “The Department of Martyred Poets” came as a sweet surprise for Swifties who woke up on Friday. But those who had to work have work to do this weekend to catch up.

“I woke up to text messages with 31 numbers and thought, oh man, there’s a lot of work to do,” said one fan. “It’s kind of hard work being a Swiftie these days because she literally puts out so many Easter eggs.”

“My group chat went off and my friends were all telling me what songs they like. I gotta get on it,” one fan said of her calendar.

Between studying the story of the brand new Fortnight video and listening parties all weekend long, it’s safe to say that Taylor Swift will be the soundtrack to the town.
