Halloween is officially here and a Chester County teen is getting his neighbors spooky with a terrifying tour of his homemade haunt.
Fifteen-year-old Joe Veneziale said it took months of planning to create the Veneziale Manor attraction, which can be seen in his front yard, backyard and even his family’s basement.
“It usually takes us about a month to get everything fully set up by the end of September, and then we perfect things until Halloween night,” Joe said.
Throughout the Halloween season, the young creative also raises money for charity.
“We started raising money for the Spirit of Children, which raises money for Nemours Children’s Hospital. This year we raised $2,200, which is exciting because Spirit Halloween matches that,” Joe said.
The family property is packed with an elaborate light display at the front of the house, a creepy clown emporium at the back and a haunted hotel in the basement.
The exhibition at Veneziale Manor lasts until Sunday, after which Joe said he will start working on his Christmas decor.
