Lee County Sheriff’s Office

The following reports were filed Monday by the Lee County Sheriff’s Office.

A man on Euclatubba Road, Saltillo, said he heard cars were being broken into in the area, so he checked his wife’s vehicle. It was unlocked and the $200 metal detector he borrowed from a friend was gone. Neither he nor the friend had the serial number.

A Tupelo man said he stopped by his cousin’s home, County Road 154, Shannon. He walked around the back of the house and visited for about 30 minutes. As he prepared to leave, the car was gone. He left the 2012 Nissan Maxima with the push-button start running, but took the key fob with him.

A County Road 1190, Tupelo woman said her cell phone has been missing since Nov. 24. She said she looked everywhere in the house but couldn’t find the Motorola phone.

A County Road 154 woman, Shannon, said a stray dog, a golden Lab mix, recently had four puppies on her property. She just wants to find them a home somewhere.

A County Road 1015, Tupelo man said a female pit bull showed up on his porch Friday morning. He said her face was swollen and had obvious cuts and tears on her face and neck. While examining her injuries, he noticed that almost all of her teeth were missing and that her canines had been filed down. He is concerned that she has been used as a bait dog in dog fighting. She is in bad shape and he wants to help her, but he cannot keep the dog himself.
