RADNOR, Pa. (CBS) — A driver was seriously injured after a tree fell on his car in the northbound lanes of I-476 in Delaware County Thursday morning, state police said.

Pennsylvania State Police say the crash happened shortly after 11 a.m. on the Blue Route near West Chester Pike.

According to state police, a red Toyota Rav4 traveling northbound on the highway was struck by a fallen tree.

The driver was seriously injured and rushed to a nearby hospital, state police said.

Two other cars were struck by debris from the tree, but state police said the occupants were not injured.

According to state police, northbound I-476 is currently down to one lane.
