Extra security reduces crime in West Charlotte apartments

The Little Rock Apartments on West Boulevard has seen a decrease in reported violent crimes thanks to management, police and community efforts.

There were several shootings in the summer of 2023 and Fulton Meachem, president and CEO of Inlivian, said the community needed to come together to turn things around.

“We make sure they have the support they need to make that change,” Meachem said.

Officials with Inlivian, which manages the complex, said they added armed guards and a surveillance tower staffed by the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.

Enhanced cameras have also been added that Inlivian can access at any time of the day.

In the video at the top of this web page you can discover how the new security strategies have paid off in the fight against crime.
