Temperatures are expected to be highest on Monday and Tuesday, with a heat warning in effect for the inland East Bay, South Bay and Santa Cruz Mountains.
Temperatures well above normal in the 90s to near 100°F are possible. The advisory is in effect from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. both days, although Tuesday’s advisory only affects the hills and valleys of the East Bay.
The San Francisco Bay Area weather forecast for Monday is warm and mostly sunny, with some fog in places.
Daytime highs are usually in the 70s to 80s along the coast, 70s to 90s around the bay, and 90s inland. Nighttime lows are in the 50s to 60s.
According to meteorologists, temperatures will return to seasonal averages from Wednesday and will remain so for the rest of the week.
