A robbery suspect was arrested Saturday after an hours-long barricade at a Culver City garage.
The incident began just before 9 a.m. when police were called to the area for reports of a robbery at a Shell gas station at 10332 Culver Boulevard, Culver City police said.
Officers arrived and learned that the suspect had fled the area and barricaded himself in a detached garage at a home near Jasmine Avenue and Braddock Drive.
Around 4 p.m., after seven hours of negotiations involving the department’s Crisis Negotiation Team, Drone Team and K-9 Unit, police successfully led the suspect out of the garage and placed him under arrest.
One person was treated at the gas station for non-life-threatening injuries, but police have not released the extent or nature of those injuries.
No further information was provided.
