Are dating apps really the best way to find love, or is there a city that makes it even easier? Atlanta is ranked as the number one city in the US for singles.
In addition to Georgia’s anchor city, Augusta and Columbus also made the list, albeit at the lower level of the cities surveyed.
Augusta placed number 112 and Columbus placed number 150.
WalletHub, a financial website, determined this ranking by comparing 182 cities in three categories:
Atlanta scored highly in all three categories. It has a large number of attractions, restaurants and nightlife, making it easy to find dates.
“More than 69% of the city’s population is single (never married, widowed or divorced), the eighth highest percentage in the country,” the study said.
“Atlanta also ranks as the 22nd most accessible city in the country, based on the share of people who bike, walk or take public transit, making it easy to get to dates. Finally, it’s easy to find a partner who is financially stable, as the city has the 21st highest median annual household income at almost $79,000.”
