All NFL teams have until 4 p.m. Tuesday to trim their rosters to 53 players.

According to SNY NFL Insider Connor Hughes, the Jets are keeping three undrafted free agents on their defensive line: UConn’s Eric WattsMiami Leonard Taylorand that of Michigan Braiden McGregor.

One of the players the Jets cut was one of their 2024 NFL Draft picks. Seventh-round pick and defensive back Jaylen Key was reportedly cut.

Key, who was drafted this year as “Mr. Irrelevant,” played at the college level for both Alabama and UAB.

Before the deadline, New York also agreed to trade a defensive back/kick returner Brandon Codrington (an undrafted rookie out of North Carolina Central) to the Buffalo Bills, according to multiple reports.

The teams are trading late-round picks in the 2026 NFL Draft.
