Seniors in Little Tokyo gather every week for exercise and fun at Terasaki Budokan, a multi-purpose sports and activity center.
A group of friends who enjoy playing ping pong together showed off their skills to KCAL News on Thursday. The program has been running strong since 2014.
“We play to have a happy time,” says Toshi Toda, a participant.
The senior connections social program includes recreational and cultural activities. Seniors indicate that playing games with each other is good for body and mind.
A total of ten different classes, including Zumba classes, are offered for free from Monday to Friday.
