Luka makes Clippers look old, Suns in big trouble and a funeral for Lakers | Good word with good will

In this episode of the Good word with good willYahoo Sports senior NBA reporter Vincent Goodwill is joined by veteran NBA analyst Tom Haberstroh to break down everything going on in the NBA Playoffs.

Vince was at the Dallas Mavericks’ win over the Los Angeles Clippers last night, so the guys start by talking about how Luka Doncic made James Harden, Kawhi Leonard and even Paul George look like old players past their prime. What will it look like when the series moves to Dallas for game 3?

Down 0-2 against the Minnesota Timberwolves, the Phoenix Suns are faced with the grim reality of what their offseason could look like, with no way to get out of this roster and nothing but disappointment coming out of this season. If they end up losing in four or five games, Vinnie and Tom agree it might be time to talk about another Kevin Durant trade (maybe back to OKC?)

The Indiana Pacers were the first road team to win the NBA Playoffs this year, and they did so by accelerating their offense and scaring the Milwaukee Bucks to death. The Bucks are hoping Giannis Antetokounmpo can return soon and be the solution to their defensive (and offensive) problems.

Vinnie tells Tom that he’s wearing all black for tomorrow night’s Nuggets-Lakers Game 3 in Los Angeles because he considers it a funeral for their championship chances. Tom has an incredible statistic on Nikola Jokic that goes a long way toward explaining why the Lakers can’t seem to beat the Denver Nuggets.

Vinnie has lost hope that the Miami Heat would steal a game from the Boston Celtics in the first round, but not Tom! He explains why Miami’s defense will do much better in game 2 than in game 1.

The New Orleans Pelicans gave the Oklahoma City Thunder all they could handle in Game 1, proving the theory that the Pelicans are at their best when Zion Williamson or Brandon Ingram are not in the lineup. What happens when Zion returns? And should the Pelicans trade any of them this offseason?
